全米将棋大会2024 inロサンゼルス -All USA Shogi Championship Tournament 2024 in Los Angeles

３月１６日（土）と１７日（日）の２日間、アメリカのロサンゼルスにて全米将棋選手権大会が開催されました。
今回カナダ将棋クラブからは一般大会に４名、子ども大会に１名が参加しました。

スペシャルゲストは大野八一雄七段、西山朋佳女流三冠、山口恵梨子女流三段！
大会前日（１５日）の前夜祭ではプロの先生方と指導対局ができたり、１６日夜の懇親会ではアメリカの支部の皆さんとも楽しく交流ができ、とても充実した３日間でした。

カナダ将棋クラブの結果は、
団体戦：バンクーバー＆ワシントンD.C.の合同チームが第３位
子ども大会：Rocky Chan君が準優勝
一般大会：佐藤勇大がA級準優勝
と団体・個人ともに好成績を残すことができました！

ディナー・お弁当・前夜祭・各種イベントなどの手配、大会の運営・設営、送迎なども全てロサンゼルス支部とサンフランシスコ支部の皆さんが協力して行なってくださいました。
本当にありがとうございました。

来年の全米選手権も今から楽しみです。

USA Shogi Tournament was held in Los Angeles on 3/16 (Sat) & 3/17 (Sun). Five members of the Canada Shogi Club participated in the tournaments. (one for kids tournament)

Special guests are Yaichio Ohno, 7-Dan, Tomoka Nishiyama, 3 crown-title holders, and Eriko Yamaguchi, 3-Dan!! They are very kind and friendly. We learned so many things from the teaching game and their advice:)

We are truly grateful that the Los Angeles Shogi Club and San Francisco Shogi Club took care of all arrangements for dinners, lunches, various events, tournament management, set-up, or transportation It was also such a good time to interact with the many Shogi players all over the U.S.!!

I think all of us can’t wait for the 2025 tournaments:)
