①「矢倉」-“Yagura”

「矢倉」は王様の囲いの1つです。
矢倉戦法の特徴は、お互いにしっかりと王様を守るので、じっくりとした戦いになりやすいことです。

“Yagura” is one of the castles for protecting King.
Yagura strategy can be slow-paced game.

②「横歩取り」-“Side Pawn Capture”

左図のように飛車で横の歩を取るので、「横歩取り」といいます。
横歩取りの特徴は、激しい戦いになりやすいことです。
飛車と角がむき出しになっていて、気の抜けない戦いが繰り広げられます。

It is called “Side Pawn Capture”, because Rook captures the side pawn.
Side Pawn Capture strategy can be fast-paced game.
There is no protection for Rooks and Bishops, thus you have to be careful all the time.

③「角換わり」-“Bishop Exchange”

早々に角を交換する戦法です。
お互いに角を持っているので、隙をつくらないことが大切です。

Bishop is exchanged relatively early.
Both player have a bishop in their hand, so keep an eye on not to let the opponent put the Bishop on critical point!

④「一手損角換わり」-“Tempo Loss Bishop Exchange”

後手が一手損して、角を交換をする戦法です。
後手が一手遅れてしまうのに、それでもいい勝負という面白い戦法です。
When exchanging Bishop, White’s movement is one time delayed compare to normal Bishop Exchange.
It is complicated, but interesting strategy.

⑤「相掛かり」-“Double Wing Attack”

お互いに飛車の前の歩を交換する戦法です。
決まった形があまりなく、自由に指せるのが魅力です。

Both players exchange Pawn in front of Rook.
There are not so many theories with this strategy.Thus players can move forward the game freely.
